Don't u ever feel like want to have your own website and place whatever things u like such as the design, content, web structures, etc.... moreover a website can be use as many funtions, it can be Commerce, Personal ( blog ), Sharing information and ideas.
So, in order to build ur own website well, getting your own domain is a must.
You can argue that why not, i choose free web host rather than spending money on buying own domain.

- it all depends on how well u organise yr info

- although yr domain name is short & simple, i could not remember it. I won't go & memorise any address, except my own.
Professionality
- there are many free professional looking templates available and functionality of layout changing is provided
Features & functions
- a lot of gadgets & functions can be added in, it just need yr little effort to check it out
Flexible & freedom
- i didn't ever experience any limitations or obstacles in using free web host
Search engines optimisation (SEO)
- usually website tat we created would never appear the 1st two pages of seach engine, even though it's on yr own domain. Imagine U got to fight with other thousand millions billions websites...
So, why spend money in creating our own domain?
especially when we are just having our own personal blog or websites for personal use?
unless V are doing real e-business.

hey, lucas.. i like ur comment.. it's quite true.. that it's not necessary to spend money in buying domain name.. but still u know if u really want to be professional and tend to look different from the others, u need to do something out of it. which is differentiation come about.

the functions and etc.. still the same as every blogspot user just the URL !!
it's very subjective afterall, it's deppen on the user preferences. = ) as long as it suits u, and thats the solution that u're looking for and finally u're satisfied !! xD
